How to prepare this cold pasta salad with olive oil and garlic recipe

Ingredients 

  • 10 oz. of your favorite pasta. We recommend using spiral-shaped pasta
  • 4 Tbsp Italica Olive Oil
  • 3 garlic cloves (chopped)
  • ¼ cup fresh basil (chopped)
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

Directions

The first step is to cook the pasta. To do so, bring a large pot of water to boil. Once the water is boiling, add the pasta along with a dash of salt and a tablespoon of olive oil.

The cooking time will range from 10 to 12 minutes, depending on the instructions for the type of pasta you have selected. Drain the pasta once it is cooked.

Next, heat on medium 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet. Add the chopped garlic and cook for one to two minutes.

Once the garlic is golden brown, lower the temperature and add the chopped fresh basil and parsley, and cook for another minute on low.

Transfer the cooked pasta to a large bowl and add the cooked ingredients (garlic and herbs) along with the lemon juice and parmesan cheese. Drizzle a tablespoon of olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly and it’s ready!

Be sure not to overcook the basil and parsley. Simply warm them gently to release the wonderful flavors of these amazing herbs.
