OLIVES AND OILS ROOTED IN SPANISH TRADITION

An ancient & healthy
Spanish tradition

The legacy of Italica, an ancient Roman city in Southern Spain

We wish we could say we were the innovators, but we can’t. The ancient Phoenicians created what we now like to call “liquid gold,” the source of good health, divine taste and deep cultural tradition.

In what is now modern day Seville, the ancient Roman province of Italica produced the world’s finest olives. Located on the Phoenicians’ old stomping grounds, we are keeping that tradition alive. Our olives yield a low-acid, flavorful oil that would make our ancestors proud.

We cultivate our olives with keen attention to detail, ensuring olives and olive oil with unsurpassed taste and versatility.

The exportation

Spain has been exporting its highly sought after olive oil since the days of the Roman Empire. The Roman city of Italica was one of the biggest producers and exporters of olive oil. We’ve carried on their legacy, exporting olive oil to North America, and around the world.

Spain accounts for nearly half of the olive oil sold in the United States. In fact, most of the Italian olive oil sold in American supermarkets is actually produced in southern Spain, and re-packed in Italy.

It’s no surprise that one of our largest markets is the United States, who has grown to love and appreciate our great tasting, versatile and accessible olive oil. Our olive oil is an American favorite for its flexibility in the kitchen as well as for its light and complimentary flavor.

Origin and production

Our olive groves live in the southern Spanish city of Seville in what used to be known as the Roman city of Italica.

The sunny, dry and hot climatic conditions combined with the land’s rich soil make Seville the ideal place to cultivate high quality, flavor-rich olives.

Once our olives are processed into great tasting olive oil and bottled, they are sent to the U.S.
